This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how David Hood and his organization (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you work with us, sign up for our newsletter, or visit our website.

  • Photos, videos, and audio recorded during shoots

  • Existing media you send us for project use, including but not limited to logos, photos, videos, edited film/video cuts, and audio

  • Image, likeness, and voice of clients, actors, and event participants

c. Automatically collected information when visiting our website

  • IP Address, browser type, and device information

  • Pages viewed, referring URLs, and time spent on pages

  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies

3. How We Use Information

We may use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • Provide videography, photography, and color grading services, including but not limited to planning, shooting, editing, and delivering media content

  • Communicate with clients and third party event organizers before, during, and after projects

  • Manage contracts and process payments

  • Improve our website and services

  • Promote our services on our website and social media (see section 4)

  • Comply with legal requirements

4. Use of Audiovisual Content

We may use photos, videos, and audio for our website, portfolio, social media, reels, and other marketing purposes. Requests to restrict or opt out of marketing use must be submitted in writing.

We will not sell or license client data, including media content, to third parties for commercial use.

5. Sharing of Information

We may share information only as necessary to provide services, including with:

  • Trusted service providers (such as editing software providers, cloud storage providers, payment processors, and others)

  • Event organizers/hosts, venues, and production partners/collaborators involved in a specific project

  • Legal or regulatory authorities if required by law

6. Data Storage and Security

Digital files are stored with varying levels of redundancy on physical devices, including HDD's and SSDs, and/or encrypted cloud storage providers.

Reasonable measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of storage is 100% secure.

7. Archival Policy

Raw and edited media may be kept for archival purposes. Retention periods vary by project type and contractual agreements, and may be indefinite. Kept files may be used for replacement in case your copy is lost, as well as for marketing purposes.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the information we hold about you and your project

  • Request corrections and updates of data

  • Request deletion of data, except for contractual agreements

  • Opt out of marketing or promotional use of content from your project, except for contractual agreements

  • Unsubscribe from future marketing emails

California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA. Requests can be made using the contact information below (see section 12).

9. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect information from children without parental consent. Any involvement of minors under the age of 18 in our work, such as child actors appearing in our media, must be approved by written consent of the child’s parent or legal guardian. The parent/guardian must be present at all times on the production set, and additional state or local laws may apply.

10. Cookies, Analytics, and Third-Party Services

This website is hosted on Squarespace and may collect information through cookies, analytics, and similar tools to understand usage, improve functionality, suggest content to advertising companies, and ensure a smooth user experience.

11. Changes To This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
