About Me: David Hood
Based in NYC, I am a full-time videographer and filmmaker. Primarily, I work with music artists and event organizers to create video content for online platforms. My portfolio consists of over 50 film and video projects, including at least 30 as videographer or cinematographer. I focus on creating content that both connects deeper with existing audiences and also reaches new ones. Clients include Jessica Andrea, Ciaooo! Media, Israa Nasir, Cus Campbell, ROM COM, and many more. I love to travel and am available for videography within the U.S., as well as color grading for film projects internationally, which I complete remotely.
I earned a B.A. in film studies and physics from Wesleyan University, where I wrote, directed, and edited Pancakes, a 12-minute scripted short film for my senior thesis project. While at Wesleyan, I also interned in unscripted television and independent film, including in casting for HGTV’s Rico to the Rescue (Season 2), which is now on HBO Max.
